Our classes, unless otherwise mentioned in the course description, are non-contact. There won’t be any extreme physical requirements, but you will be on your feet for the majority of the class.
In addition to any course-specific equipment, we highly recommend the following:
- Shooting gloves
- Kneepads
- Weapons lubricant and cleaning supplies
- Snacks and water
- Sunscreen
- Climate-appropriate clothing
An IFAK and training to use it are also highly recommended!
Ammunition requirements vary by course, but for our most popular shotgun classes you can expect to bring at least:
- 400 rounds birdshot (lead only, no steel shot)
- 25 rounds buckshot
- 25 rounds slug
- 50 rounds pistol
Refunds are given on a case-by-case basis, depending on the reason for backing out of a class and the proximity to the class date (and our ability to backfill the slot)
Due to ITAR restrictions, courses are available only to US citizens, 18 years of age or older (16 and older if accompanied by parent/guardian)
First, have a weekend date in mind. Then have access to a suitable range facility with at least a 25yd square range. Most of our courses require stationary steel targets as well as stands for IDPA/IPSC-type cardboard or paper targets.
A restroom or porta-john is needed. A $500 deposit is required to hold dates. Let us know the proximity to the nearest trauma center, major airport, lodging, etc. We can have a phone conference to discuss these details, as well as pricing and other options.
